Letter To The Editor: Israel Not Allowed To Know Peace

To the Editor:

…For several years now Hamas has been bombarding Israeli towns with rockets. Every day! Schools are hit, hospitals and homes are targeted and life goes on. The Israeli people finally had enough of this way of life and warned Hamas to stop or pay the consequences. They did not stop. So they paid the consequences. … … I wonder what (the letter writer’s) reaction would be if he resided in an Israeli town being bombarded every day by Hamas rockets, if he had children in school living in fear every day of their lives? Since 1946, when Israel again became a nation, they have not known peace. They have not been allowed to live without fear. Generation after generation has known only conflict, not caused by them, but by others. Ever hear the expression, “Enough is enough”?
