Letter To The Editor: Pro-Life Cause Set Back

To the Editor:
I have never written to The Georgia Bulletin before but I feel I must express my anger at seeing Barack Obama on the front page. For a Catholic publication to feature a man who is known as one of the most ardent supporters of abortion rights in the U.S. Senate is outrageous. At best, it sends mixed signals to a secular world determined to undermine Catholic teaching. At worst, it will only embolden the Obama administration, with the support of so-called Catholic politicians like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry and others to further their well-publicized pro-abortion agenda without fear of church sanctions. It was with no small irony that my Georgia Bulletin arrived the same day as my local newspaper with the headline “Obama Reverses Abortion Policy.” Sadly, the pro-life cause has taken a large step backward.
