Letter To The Editor: Wrong To Equate Abortion, Other Issues

To the Editor:

…I must comment on the ignorance of Catholic voters in the hope that someone will step forward to educate them.

The core problem is that abortion has been marginalized to an “issue.” It is not an issue. It is a holocaust. It is murder. The one sacred gift from God is life. Homelessness, gay marriage, unemployment … those are quality of life “issues” that need attention. Anyone who can vote in favor of allowing this holocaust does not know God.

Eight years ago, on the way to vote, I was torn about which candidate to vote for. I was weighing the “issues” and beginning to feel like the Democrats were more sympathetic to the human condition. While driving to the polls, I asked God to help me decide. Immediately, I received visions of aborted bodies that brought tears to my eyes. I know without doubt what is at the core of God’s heart.

I do not vote for a candidate and I do not vote on issues. I vote to stop the greatest atrocity.
