Letter to the Editor: Respect All Life
Published: October 16, 2008
To the Editor:
I was heartened to see the Respect Life Sunday focus in the Oct. 9 Georgia Bulletin.
However, I was disappointed that the sole focus was abortion. I am proud that Catholics are fiercely pro-fetus. But I notice that many lose interest once those lives are actually born.
Please include more commentaries and articles on unwanted children, children in foster care, children in poverty in Atlanta. Their lives are just as worth fighting for, as are fetuses, yet they are often forgotten or overlooked. And perhaps you can highlight the many ministries and ways to get involved.
The Georgia Bulletin can help Catholics understand our Christian duty to all life—fetal, children, teens, adults, senior citizens—everyone.
Thank you for listening to my opinion.
