Knights Slide High At Smyrna Parish’s Summer Fest

Parishioners at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Smyrna, enjoy the giant slide manned by the Knights of Columbus Council 12386 at the parish’s annual Summerfest and Kerrmeese Aug. 3.

MARIETTA—St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Smyrna, held its annual Summerfest and Kermesse (church fundraising festival) at Jim Miller Park on Sunday, Aug. 3. As part of the festivities, the Knights of Columbus Council 12386 set up, organized and ran a giant inflatable slide, which was a popular part of the day. American Family Day of Marietta donated the slide for the event.

The Knights raised over $860, which went to St. Thomas to support ministries and ongoing activities at the church.

St. Thomas the Apostle is located at 4300 King Springs Road in Smyrna.

The St. Thomas the Apostle Knights of Columbus are a Catholic, fraternal men’s organization that concentrates on helping to support the needs of the parish community.
