
AACCW To Host 52nd Annual Convention Sept. 5-7

ATLANTA—The Atlanta Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women will host its 52nd annual convention on Friday, Sept. 5, to Sunday, Sept 7. The event, which invites and welcomes all women of the archdiocese, will be held at the Atlanta Marriott Northwest Hotel.
Women from parishes all over the Archdiocese of Atlanta will gather for three days to attend workshops, listen to speakers, pray together and attend Mass.
A province meeting that is open to all will be held from 3:30-5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, to kick off the AACCW convention, followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. Other activities for Friday evening include an orientation session for newcomers as well as a president’s reception.
Saturday begins with Mass at 7:30 a.m. and will be followed by a business meeting and a series of workshops beginning at 11:15 a.m. A luncheon with a speaker will lead the afternoon activities, which include additional workshops and deanery meetings. A dinner banquet at 8 p.m. is also planned for Saturday evening.
Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory will celebrate the concluding Mass on Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. A brunch will follow.
The cost for the convention is $125. Women interested in not attending the entire event may pay $30 to attend the lunch, $40 to attend the banquet or $25 to attend the brunch, in addition to the $30 registration fee.
