What I Have Seen and Heard - Archbishop Gregory's Weekly Column

Eucharistic Congress: Friday, June 20

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with praise and worship music, following by Mass at 6:30 p.m. At 7:45, the healing service will begin, with the “Revive!” Young Adult Track for single and married young adults, ages 18 to 40, beginning at 8 p.m. and continuing concurrently. Reconciliation will be available from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Healing Mass And Service

Father Tim Hepburn studied theology at Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit, Mich., focusing on the New Evangelization. Ordained a priest in the Archdiocese of Atlanta in 1993, he is a popular speaker and his passion is to help people grow closer to Christ. He is the new chaplain at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.

Revive! Young Adult Track

Matthew Kelly is a speaker and bestselling Catholic author, putting into context the unchanging truths of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Born in Sydney, Australia, he began his Catholic ministry in 1993 with talks, seminars and retreats, as well as appearances on radio and television programs.

Curtis Stephan and band will provide praise and worship music for the evening. Stephan is a Catholic musician and youth music minister from St. Ann Church in Coppell, Texas. After earning a master’s degree in jazz studies from the University of North Texas, Stephan found in Christian music the opportunity to minister with a message of hope through his music.

Desmond Drummer, emcee, is a seminarian of the Atlanta Archdiocese. He is completing a pastoral year in the archdiocesan Office for Black Catholic Ministry.
