MARIETTA—Holy Family Church’s Knights of Columbus Council 9792 recently presented a check for $1,700 to Father Darragh Griffith, pastor of the East Cobb County church. The money was donated to help renovate the church’s adoration chapel.
The council raised the money through its “Fat Sunday Pasta Dinner,” which is held each year on the Sunday before Lent begins. The entire dinner is made and donated by Knight Joe and Mary Costa, owners of the Costa’s Pasta restaurant in Marietta. With help from the Knights and the parish’s 55+ ministry, the dinner is prepared and served in the parish center to more than 300 parishioners.
Each year, the Knights of Columbus dedicate the proceeds of the dinner to a project designated by the pastor.
Holy Family Church is located at 3401 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta.
