Msgr. Dan O’Connor To Lead St. Peter Chanel Mission
Published: February 7, 2008
ROSWELL—St. Peter Chanel Church will hold a Lenten mission on Monday to Thursday, Feb. 11-14, led by Msgr. Dan O’Connor. The theme of the mission is “Lent: With Christ in the Desert.”
Msgr. O’Connor, who is retired from active ministry in the Archdiocese of Atlanta, will speak at all Masses on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 9-10. During the mission, talks will be presented each weekday following the 8:30 a.m. Mass and after a special 7 p.m. Mass each weeknight.
In his presentations, Msgr. O’Connor will encourage all to make the 40 days of Lent more meaningful by undertaking the traditional practices of fasting, doing penance, receiving the sacrament of reconciliation and performing good works. All are welcome to come listen and learn why making a good Lent leads to a more joyful Easter.
A nursery will be available for childcare at all sessions. To reserve a spot in the nursery, call (678) 832-1240.
St. Peter Chanel Church is located at 11330 Woodstock Road in Roswell.
