
Holy Spirit Teams Try To Turn Things Around

ATLANTA—The Holy Spirit Preparatory girls are currently on a five-game slide after a 58-50 loss to Furtah Preparatory School, Friday, Jan. 25. Holy Spirit ran into foul trouble late in the game and victory slipped through their hands. Holy Spirit was led by sophomores Colleen Pelletier with 17 points and Alexander Richards with 10 points. The Holy Spirit girls fall to 1-8 in the region and 4-14 overall.
The Holy Spirit boys also lost their fifth in a row as they were beaten by Furtah Preparatory School 49-44. Holy Spirit held the lead up to the last 2:00 of the game. Holy Spirit guard Curtis Johnson scored 12 points and collected 14 rebounds. The boys move to 1-8 in region play and 5-13 overall.
Holy Spirit will attempt to reverse the cycle as they travel to Columbus to face Calvary Christian School on Friday, Feb. 2. |
