Marian Devotion Flowers At Pinecrest Academy

Published: May 24, 2007

CUMMING—Pinecrest Academy held its annual May crowning on Friday, May 4.

During the crowning every child in the school brings in a flower to place at the feet of Mary, while the students sing songs honoring and praising the Blessed Mother.

Each year in the fall, the eighth-grade girls are asked to consider during the year the classmate who best emulates the qualities of the Blessed Mother, including humility, faith, hope and love. This year Veronica Pausa, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Joe Pausa of St. Brendan Church, Cumming, was chosen by her peers.
