Marist School Welcomes ‘A Season To Savor’

ATLANTA—For the past 50 years, the Marist Parents’ Club has played a vital role in supporting the traditions and ideals of the Marist School, providing critical funding for program and facility enhancement, as well as operating valuable family services. Funds are generated through numerous volunteer projects, including the club’s most recent effort, the school’s third cookbook, “A Season to Savor,” which is now available for purchase.
Building on the success of the previous two publications, which sold more than 58,000 copies, the new release is a “captivating collection of innovative recipes.”
“We are blessed to have parents with the vision, energy, management skills and fiscal prescience to produce a book that is so attractive, inviting and useful,” said Marist principal Father Joel Konzen, SM. “It’s a fantastic book, and I predict excellent returns.”
From spectacular starters to delectable desserts, “A Season to Savor” is the source for gourmet entertaining ideas, as well as classic, flavorful cuisine. The collection includes fresh, savory recipes that have been at the center of the Marist community’s family dinners, special celebrations and treasured holidays. Menu suggestions and entertaining ideas are offered to inspire chefs of all levels. Exquisite photography illustrates many of the 180 triple-tested recipes, which were carefully chosen from over 650 submissions. Especially noteworthy are the dishes by Marist alumni chefs, including Alisa Barry, founder of Bella Cucina, the award-winning gourmet retailer.
Funds generated by the sale of the cookbook will benefit the Marist School endowment, which provides revenue for tuition assistance and facilities, and student and staff enrichment.
