What I Have Seen and Heard - Archbishop Gregory's Weekly Column

Letter to the Editor from Dunwoody

Published: October 12, 2006

To the Editor:

Thank you for communicating this theology so clearly.

(In response to Lorraine V. Murray’s column ‘Jesus, Where Else Would We Go?’ The Georgia Bulletin, Sept. 28.)

As a well-educated, independent career woman, most people think that I naturally share the belief that women should be ordained. Remember I said educated? Yes, I studied, understood and wholeheartedly agreed with the theology.

I have never felt like something less because I could not be a priest. Just one more lie Satan would have us believe. Women bring forth life in cooperation with our Divine Creator. What greater honor is there?

I’ve shared your article over the Internet with many. Thanks for saying it so well for me.
