Lilburn School Celebrates Catholic Schools Week

Published: February 24, 2005

St. John Neumann School fifth-grade students Alex Johnson, in front, and Emily Kiger practice their surgical nursing skills during a presentation by parents Sandy Znosko and Mary Ann Gouveia. The presentation was part of “Mini Class Day,” an annual event held during Catholic Schools Week for the fourth- and fifth-grade students. The nursing class was one of 19 mini classes that were offered to the students. Other class topics ranged from a mock trial jury to cake decorating to several athletic demonstrations.

St. John Neumann School second-grade students (l-r) Matthew Goeckel, Colin Frondorf and Austin Collard browse for books at the used book sale held during the recent Catholic Schools Week. The gently used books were donated by students, and proceeds from the sale went to Catholic Relief Services Tsunami Relief. The sale raised over $800.
