Parish Offers Job Ministry

MARIETTA—Transfiguration Church sponsors an active CareerCare Ministry, which supports those who are in career transition either through unemployment, misemployment, or who have a desire to change their present job situation. CareerCare meets on Monday evenings and Tuesday mornings in the adult education/OCI room at the church, 1815 Blackwell Road. On Mondays from 7-7:30 p.m. a spiritual support workshop is offered, followed by a job search skills workshop from 7:30-9 p.m. On Tuesdays, networking group meetings are held from 7:30-9 a.m. Upcoming job search skills topics are: Jan. 31, the interview and questions; Feb. 7, networking and power calling; Feb. 14, improving your skills in selling yourself; Feb. 21, Jay Litton; Feb. 28, how the Internet can help you get a job; March 7, how to start your own business; and March 14, changing your life through faith.
