CSS Sponsors Area Conference For National Adoption Month

ATLANTA—In celebration of November as National Adoption Month, Catholic Social Services’ Pregnancy, Parenting & Adoption Program will host an Adoption Conference on Saturday, Nov. 20, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the archdiocesan Catholic Center.

The theme of the conference is: “Child Centered Adoption: Making the Most of a Dual Heritage,” and Adela Jones, LMSW, and Carol Demueth, LMSW, both from the Buckner Adoption & Maternity Services in Dallas, Texas, will be the keynote speakers.

Topics such as a child’s dual heritage, degrees of openness and open adoption will be addressed at the conference.

The cost of the conference is $15 per individual and $25 per couple.
