Published: October 7, 2004
ATLANTA—The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary will host a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Church on Saturday, Oct. 23, while the Knights will host a vintage and modern automobile show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the parking lot behind the church. The church is located at 3773 Chamblee-Tucker Road, Chamblee.
Automobiles on display will include a 1939 Buick, 1972 and 2001 Corvettes, an early 1970s Ford Galaxy and others. The event will feature live music, concessions and awards.
Partial proceeds from crafts, including jewelry, pottery, greeting cards and a variety of additional items, will be applied to the third annual Harry Burns Memorial Scholarship Fund at St. Pius X High School, while full proceeds from the automobile show will benefit the fund.
The scholarship fund was established in 2001, according to Christopher Murphy of the Knights of Columbus, in honor of the late Harry Burns, a charter member of Council 10355, a fourth-degree Knight and past Grand Knight.
