Transfiguration Helps With Career Challenges

Published: September 23, 2004

MARIETTA—Transfiguration Church, 1815 Blackwell Road, hosts a ministry for people who need to revitalize their current career or find a new one.

Called “Career Care,” it is a group of professionals who offer free training and networking sessions to help people enhance their existing job skills and develop new skills. This year’s sessions will include motivational guest speakers and meetings to enhance sales skills. An industry guide, composed of parishioners, helps people learn about a variety of industries from successful practitioners. Those interested in changing jobs or improving their skills are encouraged to attend.

A new topic is covered every Monday evening. Meetings are held in the parish adult education/OCI room. Spiritual support is provided from 7-7:30 p.m. Training follows immediately and continues until 9 p.m. Networking meetings are held in the same location every Tuesday morning from 7:30-9:30 a.m.
