ATLANTA—Eight offices of the Archdiocese of Atlanta, including Catholic Social Services, and the Pro-Life Office and Young Adult Ministry, are sponsoring “The Challenge of Faithful Citizenship: A Catholic Call to Political Responsibility.”

It will be held on Friday, Aug. 27, from 7-9 p.m. at St. Andrew Church, 675 Riverside Road, Roswell, and be repeated on Saturday, Aug. 28, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 4465 Northside Drive, NW, Atlanta, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

The presenter will be Dan Misleh of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Social Development and World Peace Office.

With elections coming up, the seminar will address what questions Catholics should be asking, how will one present faithful citizenship in one’s parish, does voting do God’s work, civic responsibility, and caring for the most vulnerable. Participants may learn what the U.S. bishops” have outlined and what other parishes are doing.

Cost including kit materials is $10 for individuals and $25 for a team of three parish members.
