Published: August 19, 2004
HAPEVILLE—As part of its call to stewardship and outreach to the local community, St. Philip Benizi Church of Jonesboro makes a donation each year to a local charity or other organization. This year, the Advice & Aid Pregnancy Problem Center in Hapeville was the recipient, receiving a gift of $4,400. The center’s executive director Terry Gibbs explained that the donation will be used to help with client assistance as well as overall expenses incurred by the center.
“Our greatest need at the moment is financial. This donation has been a tremendous blessing,” Gibbs said with gratitude.
The center serves Clayton and Fulton counties and south Atlanta. Their mission is “to protect the lives of unborn children. Through our ministry, we provide a complete support system for pregnant women, birth fathers and families. Our services are free and we are a nonprofit organization supported solely by dedicated individuals and donors.”
