‘Da Vinci Code’ Review Deserves Wider Audience
Published: January 1, 2004
To the Editor:
I read with interest Msgr. Young’s review of “The Da Vinci Code” by Dan Brown. I couldn’t agree with him more. When I read the novel, I was thankful that my faith is strong enough to recognize the fallacies, noting that Mr. Brown supplied absolutely no references. However, his review in The Georgia Bulletin reaches only Catholics who read the publication. I strongly urge Msgr. Young to submit his review to more globally read newspapers and periodicals as a way to instruct Catholics and non-Catholics alike. Indeed, we have enough Catholic-bashing to contend with without having to swallow the outrageous assertions in Mr. Brown’s novel.
