Published: September 25, 2003
ATLANTA—The archdiocesan Office of Young Adult Ministry will sponsor Spin Dating III on Halloween, Oct. 31, at the Cobb Galleria Centre.
It will be held in the Centre Ballroom, 2 Galleria Parkway, at the intersection of I-75 and I-285. It is a mixer dinner dance designed to be fun. It begins with a cocktail hour from 7-8 p.m., a three-course mixer dinner from 8-10 p.m. and then dancing until 1 a.m. During the dinner, persons will go to a different themed-table for each course so that they’ll have met 30 new people by the end of the courses. There will be icebreakers with each course to help one become acquainted with the people at each table, and icebreakers will also be held during the dance to meet those not at any of one’s tables.
Dress is business casual, with “no jeans, tuxes and no costumes.” Khakis for the guys and pants or a skirt for women is appropriate attire. Spin Dating II drew 460 people, and past spin-daters have found dates, marriage partners and new friends.
The event is for ages 21-39. (Those above this age may contact the YAM Office for information about other groups for those over 40.) The cost is $40 and includes dinner and dancing. There will be a cash bar available. To download a registration form, visit www.yam.org or contact Ann at ann@yam.org or (404) 885-7222. Registration must be received by Oct. 20. The event is limited to 200 men and 200 women. Purchase tickets early as it is expected to sell out. |
