
Young Adult Ministry Seeks Servant-Leaders

ATLANTA—The archdiocesan Office of Young Adult Ministry is offering various service and leadership opportunities for men and women in their 20s and 30s, single or married. On Tuesday, Sept. 16, a meeting will be held for persons interested in helping out with Northside YAM at St. Andrew’s Church, 675 Riverside Road, Roswell, in the RCIA Room upstairs at 7:30 p.m. Leadership positions are available. Dinner will be provided. YAM will also begin monthly third Thursday meetings for any young adult interested in getting more involved with young adult ministry and developing leadership skills. The meeting on Thursday, Sept. 18 will be at the Cathedral of Christ the King, 2699 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, in conference room 1 at 7 p.m. Dinner will be provided. The YAM service project in September will be on Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Gift of Grace House, a home for women with HIV located in Virginia-Highlands. There will be a 7 a.m. Mass celebrated by Father Kevin Hargaden at the convent behind the house. The service project will run from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Tasks will include cleaning the women’s rooms, waxing the floor and spending time with the women.
