OLA Pupils Excel In Regional Contests

Left to right: David Connolly, sixth-grade student at Our Lady of the Assumption School, Atlanta, won second place in April in the Georgia Math League, a statewide contest for all public and private school students sponsored by the Georgia Association of Educators. Erin Smith, also a sixth-grade student at OLA, won the Archdiocesan Oratorical Contest in May and will go on to compete in the National Oratorical Contest sponsored by the Modern Woodmen of America. Patrick Mooney, a fifth-grade student at OLA, won the school and regional spelling bees and placed 10th in the state spelling bee sponsored by the Georgia Association of Educators.
