Two Parishes Offer Help In Job Search

MARIETTA-St. Ann's Church, 4905 Roswell Road, NE, Marietta, holds Career Quest, a series of facilitator-led self-help workshops designed to provide job seekers with the basic tools to locate jobs, every Tuesday. Recent job postings are available for review and time is provided for networking with other seekers. On March 4 the subject is focusing and resume review; on March 11, networking and salary negotiations; on March 18 interviewing; and on March 25, Internet as a job search tool. Sessions are held in adult education rooms. Newcomer sessions are at 7:30 p.m. and regular sessions begin at 7:45 p.m. All are welcome. There is no charge and dress is casual. Transfiguration Church, 1815 Blackwell Road, Marietta, holds CareerCare Job Network on Mondays from 7:30-9 p.m. It offers seminars and workshops on focus and self-assessment, resume, networking skills, phone skills, using the Internet in a job search and interviewing.
