Lent Speaker-Series Explores 'God And Country'

ATLANTA-A series of talks to encourage faith-based citizenship that meets the challenges of the 21st century entitled "God and Country" will be held on Fridays during Lent beginning March 14 from 7-9 p.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 4465 Northside Drive, NW, Atlanta.

Before the program, Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. and Stations of the Cross at 6:45 p.m. Talks will explore religious liberty, religious faith, waging war and waging peace, money, social justice, personal virtue and becoming engaged in the American body politic. Speakers will include Father Ed Branch, Father Joe Peek, Father Luke Ballman, Kersti O'Farrell, Al Forrester, Paul Ragan, Charlie Douglas and Mike Carlton. Cost is $25 for the series.
