ATLANTA-A video series and discussion on "Parenting by Heart" will be presented by Mary Cheryl Henderson, licensed professional counselor, on three Wednesdays in February at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Atlanta.

It will be held from 6:45-7:45 p.m. in room 12 of the parish school, located at 7171 Glenridge Drive, NE, Sandy Springs. The videos feature various professional speakers. Pam Johnson is a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of clinical experience in working with families. On Wednesday, Feb. 12 the video "How to Really Love Your Child" will address the importance of parents conveying their unconditional love for their children rather than love based upon successful performance. The Feb. 19 video "The Key to Discipline" will address the importance of the parent-child relationship over rules and the five most effective ways for parents to break defiant behavior in their children. The Feb. 26 video "Power Struggles" will address helping children to express their anger in healthy ways, how parents can recognize reasons for the anger and practical ways to deal with a disobedient child.
