Australian Evangelist Alan Ames To Give Healing Services

ATLANTA - Alan Ames, a visionary, evangelist, healer and stigmatist from Australia, returns for the third year to Georgia to lead healing services Nov. 12-14.

He will speak and lead a healing service on Tuesday, Nov. 12 following a 6:45 p.m. rosary and 7:15 p.m. Mass at Holy Spirit Church, 4465 Northside Drive, NW, Atlanta.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13 he will talk and lead a healing service following a Mass in Spanish and English at St. Michael Church, 1440 Pearce Circle, Gainesville. His final talk and healing service will be Thursday, Nov. 14 following the 7 p.m. Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1618 Ben King Road, Kennesaw.

Ames, married and with two children, is a former pharmaceutical sales manager who was an alcoholic until 1993. He led a life of violence and crime until he heard a voice telling him that God loved him and wanted him to change. Ames experienced a dramatic conversion, falling in love with Jesus. The experience transformed Ames from a non-believer into an apostle of Christ. Under the authority of Archbishop Barry Hickey of Perth, Australia, he travels the world to spread God's message of endless love, forgiveness, mercy and healing. His mission today primarily centers on the Eucharist, confession and the rosary. He has spoken around the world to audiences ranging from 200 to 20,000 people. He reports that for the last eight years, he has received messages from Jesus and Mary, as well as from nearly 100 saints and numerous angels. The messages have been compiled, documented and published in book and video form. His ministry is a nonprofit that helps those in need. Most recently he funded a hospice in Kenya for those dying of AIDS.

There will be refreshments following each service, and Ames' books and videos will be for sale.
