Kindred Spirits Aimed At 'Over 40' Singles
ATLANTA - The Cathedral of Christ the King's new Kindred Spirits ministry for single Christians over 40 is holding various activities in November.
The ministry mission is to foster Christian values and provide fellowship opportunities through spiritual, service and social events.
There will be a Cajun dance workshop and dinner on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Post 660, 2620 Buford Highway, NE. Cost is $16 and it will include learning two step, jitterbug and waltz from Cajun dance professionals. Reservation and payment deadline is Nov. 4. There will then be a Cajun dinner-dance Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m., with a reservation deadline of Nov. 20.
A gathering will be held after the 5:30 p.m. cathedral Mass in conference room 1 on Sunday, Nov. 10 where persons may learn about new events and membership.
On Friday, Nov. 15 there will be a dinner at Carbo's Restaurant & Piano Bar, 3717 Roswell Road, at 7 p.m., and on Sunday, Nov. 17, following the 5:30 p.m. Mass there will be a dinner at a Mick's Restaurant, 2110 Peachtree Road. R.S.V.P. deadline for those dinners is Nov. 12.
Volunteers will provide and help serve food on Wednesday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 29 from 6-7:15 p.m. at Nicholas House, 1790 Lavista Road, NE, Atlanta.
