Assisted by altar server Kyuyoung Kim, right, Father Gabriel Byong-young Je, SJ, chaplain, makes final preparations for the memorial service table as parishioners of the Korean Martyrs Catholic Center, Doraville, prepare to celebrate Chusok and the feast of the 103 Korean Martyrs, Sept. 22. The tableau includes fruit, fish and stuffed rice cakes known as songp'yon.

As they come together during the Liturgy of the Eucharist, which celebrated Chusok and the parish feast day, members of the Korean Martyrs Catholic Center join hands to pray the Our Father.

The day of celebration also included a choir competition. Each of the 12 choirs was formed from among the church membership, but based on one's residence. Here the Marietta choir performs a selection of songs.

In the gathering area of the Korean Martyrs Catholic Center, Doraville, Jacklyn Han, left, and Alex Choi sit before an image of St. Andrew Kim and the 103 Korean Martyrs.
