New Priest Assignments

ATLANTA - Archbishop John F. Donoghue has announced the following priest assignments:

Father John Conway, parochial vicar at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Cumming, has been given his first assignment as a pastor. He has been assigned as pastor of St. Joseph Church, Washington, and St. Mary's Mission, Elberton, and Purification Mission, Sharon, which is now a Station Church. His appointment is effective Sept. 19.

Father Thomas Hennessy, pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Griffin, has been assigned as pastor of St. Patrick Church, Norcross, effective Sept. 19. Pastoral responsibility for St. Patrick Church, which has been staffed by Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales, is being returned to the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

Father G. Philip Ryan, pastor of St. Joseph Church, Washington, has been assigned as pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Griffin, effective Sept. 19.

Father Liam Coyne, parochial vicar at Holy Family Church, Marietta, has been assigned as a parochial vicar at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Cumming, effective Sept. 19.

Father Thony Jean, parochial vicar at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta, has been assigned as a parochial vicar at Sacred Heart Church, Atlanta, effective Sept. 19.

Father Hernan Quevedo, parochial vicar at Sacred Heart Church, Atlanta, has been assigned as a parochial vicar at St. Patrick Church, Norcross, effective Sept. 19.

Father Roberto A. Orellana, parochial vicar at Holy Cross Church, Atlanta, has been given the additional assignment of chaplain to the Missionaries of Charity who serve at the Gift of Grace House, Atlanta. This appointment was effective Aug. 22.
