Ecumenical Choir Fest Joyfully Gives Praise To God

Members of the Cung Viet Choir from Our Lady of Vietnam Church, Riverdale, sing "Tâm T́nh Hiên Dâng (A Gift of Love)." The choir is under the direction of Nhan Nguyen.

Led by soloist Ophie Rivera, members of the Attebeira (Mother of God) Choir sing "Tu eres Señor el alimento (You are the bread, my Lord)." The choir is from the Hispanic community at St. Philip Benizi Church, Jonesboro.

The Archbishop James P. Lyke Memorial Mass Choir, under the direction of Kevin Johnson, closes out the ecumenical choir festival with a joyful noise of praise. Assisted by a 13-person choir festival committee, the event was sponsored by the Archdiocese of Atlanta Office for Black Catholic Ministry. Monica Kaufman and Father Roy Lee served as mistress and master of ceremonies.

Students from Lyke House - The Catholic Center at the Atlanta University Center open a June 30 ecumenical choir festival with an African drum call. The drummers include (l-r) Edem Blavo, Selasi Blavo, Leonard Artmur, Francis Insaidoo and Sekou Remy.
