Mercy Students Win Essay Competition

FAIRBURN-Our Lady of Mercy High School students (l-r) Kristina Clark, Chris Calle and Cressida Thompson were honored Feb. 27 as winners in an essay competition sponsored by the Fairburn Optimist Club. Clark, who won first place, will have her essay entered in a state competition. Thompson received second place and Calle third place. All three received medals and certificates. Private and public high schools in the Fayette County area competed.
