Charles Goolsby, Father Of Duluth Pastor, Dies At 75

ATLANTA-Charles V. Goolsby, the father of Father Gregory Goolsby, died March 3 in Suwanee. He was 75.

Archbishop John F. Donoghue presided and Father Goolsby was the principal celebrant of the funeral Mass celebrated at St. Monica Church, Duluth, March 6, where Father Goolsby is pastor.

Born on June 22, 1926, in Hogansville. Goolsby was a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired comptroller for Coats & Clark, Inc.

In addition to his son, he is survived by a niece, Rose Marie Goolsby Hodges of Lawrenceville, a great-niece and great-nephew and six great-great nieces and nephews.
