COMMUNITY OUTREACH--Peggy Warner, left, Christ the King School principal, presents a check for over $1000 to former Harlem Globetrotters (l-r) Michael "Memphis" Douglas, Larry "Shorty" Coleman, Tyrone "Hollywood" Brown (blocked from view), Bruce "Sugar Bear" Capers and Wayne "Above and Beyond" Clark on behalf of their P.R.O. Kids charity. It is through celebrity basketball games like the one against the Christ the King School faculty that they are able to raise funds so they can send under-privileged children to summer basketball camps and clinics. The charity was founded in 1994 by former Harlem Globetrotters to positively influence and motivate today's youth. |
