Candlelight Remembrance Also Assists OLPH Home

LIGHTS OF LOVE -- Luminaries line the entranceway of St. Peter Chanel Church, Roswell, during a memorial prayer service for victims of cancer held on All Souls Day, Nov. 2. Parishioners purchased the brown or white paper bags, writing on them the names of friends or family members who had lost their lives to the disease. In an ecumenical spirit, several churches in the area held similar services, with all proceeds going directly to cancer research. At St. Peter Chanel where approximately 650 luminaries were displayed, over $600 was raised, with funds going specifically to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home in Atlanta for those terminally ill with cancer.
