Six Chosen For Governor's Honors

ATLANTA—Six students at St. Pius X High School, Atlanta, will attend the Governor’s Honors Program at Valdosta State University this summer.

Daniel Armanios, a member of Transfiguration Church, Marietta, was selected in the field of social studies. He is the son of Erian Armanios and Mahera Philobos. Marianne Frapwell, a member of St. John Neumann Church, Lilburn, was chosen in the field of communicative arts. She is the daughter of Robert and Sharon Frapwell. Stephen Krieger, the son of James and Margaret Krieger, and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Atlanta, was chosen in the field of mathematics.

Susan Miles, the daughter of James and Patricia Miles, and a member of Holy Cross Church, Atlanta, was chosen in band. Gretchen Slocum, the daughter of John and Janice Slocum, and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Atlanta, was chosen in dance. Matthew Tanzy, the son of Henry and Mary Tanzy, and a member of St. Jude the Apostle Church, Atlanta, was also chosen in the field of mathematics. The program offers a diversity of concerts, lectures and performances in addition to the student’s classes.
