140 Marist Mothers Attend Spring Retreat

ATLANTA—Prayer, inspirational music and speakers refreshed over 140 women taking part in the annual spring retreat day March 30 sponsored by the Marist Mothers’ Prayer Group. Following the rosary and Mass in the Marist School chapel, the group was welcomed by Father Joel Konzen, SM, principal of Marist School. Music was provided by Charisse Excell, soloist from St. Benedict Church, Duluth, accompanied by Carla Crowell from Holy Redeemer School, Alpharetta.

Speakers Margaret Young and Linda Wyatt, using citations from the letters of St. Paul and the Gospel of John, addressed the women on the Holy Spirit, living in Christ and using the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Both women are members of Peachtree Presbyterian Church and leaders in the Women’s Community Bible Study. Young is also a spiritual writer and Wyatt is chairman of the board of The Link Counseling Center in Sandy Springs. The president of the Marist Mothers’ Prayer Group is Lynn Lanier.
