Runners Raise $6,000 For Fletcher Scholarship

ATLANTA—Proceeds from the third annual Julian Fletcher 5K Roadrace and 1K Fun Run totaled nearly $6,000 for the scholarship in memory of the late past president of the St. Pius X High School Home and School Association.

Results of the race, held April 15, are as follows:

In the 5K race, the top five male finishers were Gedamu Ege, 17 minutes and five seconds; Bryan Potts, 17:24; Wil Cramer, 18:17; Jim Watkins, 20:08; and Steve Siler, 20:28.

The top five women’s finishers were Kay Harrison, 25:41; Julie Hungeling, 29:48; Nancy Myers, 32:14; Tina West, 35:15; and Christina Zimmer, 35:40.

In the 1K Fun Run, the top five finishers were Brian Kazanowski, 7, first place; Zach Brown, 9, second place; Sarah Brown, 7, third place; Christopher Landry, 6, fourth place; and Stevie Landry, 5, fifth place.
