8 Considered For Governor's Honors

ATLANTA--Eight students from St. Pius X High School will participate in the interview process for the Governor’s Honors Program.

The GHP, sponsored by the state Department of Education, brings together the finest students in academics and the arts and is one of the highest honors a sophomore or junior can receive.

The St. Pius nominees are Jessica McMillan, of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Atlanta, nominated in the field of studio art; Jennifer Miles, of Holy Cross Church, Atlanta, nominated in dance; Staci Zarimba, of the Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta, nominated in communicative arts; Jillian Todd, of St. Thomas More Church, Decatur, nominated in dance; Casey McGrath, of the Church of St. Benedict, Duluth, nominated in science; Michael Peyton, of the Cathedral, nominated in Spanish; Jehae Kim, of IHM, nominated in communicative arts; and Claire Farnsworth, of the Cathedral, nominated in Spanish.
