ATLANTA--The Georgia Preschool Association honored the staff of The Archbishop Donnellan Preschool located at Holy Spirit Church, Atlanta, recently for its consistent concern for the well-being of children.

As part of the Month of the Young Child celebration in April sponsored by the Georgia Preschool Association, the staff was honored during a ceremony at the association’s annual conference held Feb. 26 in Atlanta.

Donna Conklin, preschool director, received the Distinguished Director Award and staff members were presented the Distinguished Certificate of Recognition for their dedication in working with children.

During April, children throughout the state are participating in activities to show the importance of children in society and the role that quality early childhood programs can provide in nurturing them.

The Georgia Preschool Association is a non-profit organization of over 2,500 educators in preschool and daycare centers, pre-K programs, public and private schools and teacher training programs committed to promoting quality care and education for young children. The Archbishop Donnellan Preschool was established in 1995 and currently has 90 children and 20 staff members.
