| ATLANTA--Having attended the Billings Ovulation Method Association
Conference and Teacher Training Program last August in Colorado, three women of
the archdiocese will begin teaching the Natural Family Planning method taught
in over 100 countries worldwide.
Rose Marie Garcia-Carreras of St. Stephens Church, Lilburn, Denise
Gunderson of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Woodstock, and Ana Milena Serna
of St. Patricks Church, Norcross, received training as Billings Ovulation
Method teachers. Garcia-Carreras and Serna, in addition to working with English
speaking couples, will teach Natural Family Planning in Spanish. The
30-year-old method was developed by Dr. John and Dr. Lyn Billings.
At the August conference Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver encouraged
attendees to continue the important work of Natural Family Planning.
Natural Family Planning is unique in that it enables users to work with the
body and to see fertility as a reality to live. To arrange for classes call
Lynn Crutchfield at the archdiocesan Office of Family Concerns at (404)
