Birth Date: Jan. 5, 1943

Place of Birth: Old Orchard Beach, Maine

Parents: The late Kenneth and Beatrice Tibbetts.

Siblings: Two brothers, one sister.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in philosophy 1972, St. Anthony’s Seminary, N.H.; master’s degree in social work from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Conn., 1988; a master’s equivalency degree in education from Keene State College, Keene, N.H., and a master of divinity degree from St. Vincent Seminary, Latrobe, Pa., 1997.

Work Experience: Taught high school special education for 20 years in Haverhill, Mass., and worked in psychotherapy for six years, also in Massachusetts.

Primary Hobbies and Interests: Skiing and hiking.

Pastoral Internships: Completed internships at Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin, Pa., and in the archdiocese at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Atlanta and St. Thomas More, Decatur.

Additional Languages: Spanish
