IHM Parishioner Recognized By Grey Nuns

LAWRENCEVILLE--Jolaine Kingery, a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Atlanta, received the St. Marguerite d'Youville Award which is presented annually by the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart.

Sister Dawn Gear, GNSH, presented the award to Kingery following an Oct. 26 Mass celebrated by pastor Father Don Caron commemorating the feast of St. Marguerite d'Youville at the Lawrenceville parish of the same name.

The award recognizes one whose life, service and goodness reflect the spirit of the Grey Nuns' foundress. As a parishioner of IHM, Kingery has been involved in the altar guild, finance council, RCIA program and served on the school board of education. Kingery previously assisted Msgr. Michael Regan, now pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Carrollton, in establishing the Cursillo Movement in Atlanta. She currently is a volunteer bookkeeper for the Notre Dame Book Shop and is active in supporting the Serra Club. She also shares her time, talent and financial support with Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Home, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and St. Luke's Kitchen.
