Archbishop Donoghue Visits Pinecrest Academy

ATLANTA--Students and staff at Pinecrest Academy, a private school teaching a Catholic curriculum, greeted Archbishop John F. Donoghue as he visited Oct. 24.

The archbishop celebrated Mass, received a spiritual bouquet from students of prayers and sacrifices made on his behalf, and told the story of his vocation to the priesthood to older students.

Also taking part in the presentation on vocations to third- through eighth-graders were Father John Hopkins, LC, Jan Fink, a school parent who spoke on marriage, Claudia Ortez, who spoke on the vocation to lay consecrated life, and Brother Richard Voor, LC.

Archbishop Donoghue toured the school, which is located in the activities building of All Saints Parish in Dunwoody. The school is open to children from the age of three in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. For more information, contact the school at (770) 901-9799.
