Parish to Host Adult Workshops

DULUTH--The Church of St. Benedict is offering a full day of workshops for adults on Saturday, Oct. 28 addressing a variety of topics and concerns.

Called "Food for Thought," the program runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a lunch break and offers three sessions of one hour and a half each. Participants have five workshops to choose from in each session.

Topics include rites and rituals in the home, spiritual direction, marriage and family relationships, eating disorders, adoption, annulments, financial planning, reconciliation, and social justice among others. Presenters include parish priests Msgr. Terry Young, Father Greg Goolsby and Father Stewart Wilber, marriage and family therapist Van Waddy, teacher Lalor Ferrari, Catholic Social Services director Pam Buckmaster and natural family planning coordinator Lynn Crutchfield, among others.

Registration is $10. Lunch is brown-bag. Please register by contacting Sue Ford, parish adult formation director at 442-5903, ext. 30. The event is open. The parish is located at 11045 Parsons Road, Duluth.
