Caring Foster Parents Sought

DECATUR--Caring married couples are needed as Boys Town of Georgia, part of the famous Father Flanagan Boys Town organization, begins to establish its treatment foster family services program, which is headquartered in Decatur.

Boys and girls placed through the program range in age from 2 to 18. Many have special needs stemming from abuse or neglect that can be addressed in a nurturing, teaching home environment.

Boys Town is looking for foster parents in DeKalb County who have been married at least two years, are over 21 years old and are in good physical and emotional health. They must be able to provide space for an additional child, have a telephone and reliable transportation and a desire to make a positive difference in the life of a child.

Foster parents selected for the program will receive monthly reimbursement for the basic needs of the child placed in their home, plus an additional stipend for their time and effort in providing care for a troubled child. They will receive training, respite services and support from Boys Town consultants.

For further information please contact Terence Johnson, General Smoot or Phil Harris at (404) 373-4701 or write the Boys Town of Georgia office, 250 E. Ponce de Leon Ave., Suite 701, Decatur, Ga. 30032.
