Priest Appointments

ATLANTA--Archbishop John F. Donoghue has confirmed the recommendations of Very Reverend Thomas A. Reilly, MS, provincial superior of the LaSalette order, and made the following appointments of LaSalette priests in the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

Father James P. Caffrey, MS, currently pastor of St. Matthew’s Parish, Fairburn, has been named as pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Smyrna, effective Sept. 5, 1995

Father Leo P. Holleran, MS, currently serving at St. Paul’s Church, Reading, Pa., has been named as the new pastor of St. Matthew’s Parish, Fairburn, effective Sept. 5, 1995.

Father Victor W. Chaupetta, MS, currently serving in Washington, D.C., has been appointed a parochial vicar at St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, Snellville, effective July 28, 1995.

Father Joseph J. Nolan, MS, currently serving as Mother of Mercy Church, Washington, N.C. will be in residence at St. Ann’s Parish, Marietta, effective, Sept. 5, 1995.

Archbishop Donoghue has also confirmed the recommendation of Very Reverend Mark L. Curesky, OFM Conv., minister provincial of the Conventual Franciscan order, and appointed Father George Hartmayer, OFM Conv., as pastor of St. Philip Benizi Parish, Jonesboro. The appointment is effective Aug. 16, 1995.

Archbishop Donoghue has also confirmed the recommendation of Father Jerry Dorn, president of the Glenmary Home Missioners, and appointed Glenmary Father T.J. Meehan to work in AIDS ministry in the Archdiocese of Atlanta for a period of one year effective Sept. 1, 1995.
