Father William Calhoun Treated for Pneumonia

ATLANTA--Father William Calhoun was treated for several days in the intensive care unit at Shepherd Spinal Center after developing pneumonia. He had been staying in another section of the center for brain injury patients since mid-January when his condition was stabilized.

The former pastor of Holy Trinity Parish in Peachtree City suffered paralysis after being critically injured in a pre-Christmas car accident in a business district of Fayetteville near the church. He had been shopping for a gift for the parish giving tree.

Father Calhoun has been on a ventilator since hospitalized because of the injury to his spinal cord.

According to the intensive care unit, his condition was stable on March 20 and he was resting. Father Calhoun was admitted to the intensive care unit three days earlier on March 17.

He was moved back to a regular floor March 21.
