Kennesaw Parish Opens Thrift Store

A dream was realized recently in St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Kennesaw.

The St. Vincent de Paul Conference of the church celebrated the grand opening of the newest SVDP Thrift Store.

Spearheading the project were Christine Libuha, Jim and Ruth Boff and Royce Malone.

“I have been dreaming of this day for three years,” commented Mrs. Libuha at the opening, March 5.

Father Paul Flood, parochial vicar at St. Catherine of Sienna Church, officiated at the blessing.

Located at 2728 Summers St. in the Kennesaw Plaza, the store offers gently worn clothing, household items and furniture at affordable prices to the needy and to thrifty shoppers. It is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Store is staffed by volunteers and all profits are donated to the parish SVDP conference for its outreach services to the community
